Bloody... Oh, he didn't even know what to call it. Long metal... worm... thing?
Fine. Very slow nonspell over, frantic fun time spell start. He'd created this spell after a rather... Quirky experiment with making a clock had gone very, very wrong. At least it had been fun, though.
Sword Sign: Mythril Clock
A circular border of many revolving brown circular danmaku surrounds both user and target. Mizuiro then fires a particularly fast stream of light blue rain bullets at the target; one line of bullets with two lines just barely behind it, clustered into a single blast. This is aimed directly at the opponent and is perpetual, forcing the target to make fast, wide, and well-timed clocklike sweeps to avoid getting hit. During the latter part of this spell, brown lasers will be randomly fired at the target from the border. Mizuiro can only make small movements during this spell.
Let's hope she's still feeling sleepy. He hadn't seen anyone yet who handled this well, initially.

As soon as the fire vanished, Yukari floated out into the open where she could see better just as another train, aimed at Mizuiro (if his movement was limited, the aimed trains were going to be a nightmare for him) shot out.
And then suddenly, a fast sweep of bullets flew out. She was definitely not expecting them, but she didn't freeze up, and shot sideways as quickly as she could, which was very. She was glad she'd had to wake herself up for her own spellcard- if she hadn't, she definitely would have been hit.

Hah, so she was faster than exp- YIPE...
Thankfully, although his movement was limited, it was just enough to avoid the trains... Provided he kept a watch on things. Still, seeing a composed opponent swing back and forth was hilarious every time, and it was getting easier to surprise her, so it seemed. He vaguely wondered if she was sharp enough to flit through the stream at just the right time... She'd been relatively centered so her timing would have to be precise, and that was IF she figured out what to do.
Mizuiro was now grinning... both of them were now in a high risk situation with no room for error. What fun! Oh yes,and...
"I like this just fine, border youkai!"

The first swing of the bullets had caught Yukari off guard, but when it came back around and she had to move aside again, she gracefully dove ahead of it, her long hair swishing in the air behind her. Not a single one of the red bows tied at the ends had been knocked out of place, and though the bow on her hat ruffled in the air, the hat itself stayed firmly in place.
Actually, with the timed motions from side to side, this was fun. Sort of like a swing on a children's playset. Ah, the joys of youth. She contemplated yelling 'wheee!' on the next go, but decided against it. Her spare attention was better used watching Mizuiro almost get hit by a train.

Aww, he'd kinda been hoping the hat would fall off. Too much to hope for from someone like this, he supposed.
Also, he couldn't tell, but he was quite sure she was enjoying his barely being able to avoid the metal worm things. He sighed; if it hadn't been for her gathering energy, he probably could have blasted her hard while she was half-napping. As it is she seemed to have rather taken to the spell. At least there were still lasers to come. See how she handled regular-speed danmaku at her currently high speed.
He wondered to himself how much stranger her cards were going to get. How much weirder could it get, right?
...So he hoped.

Yukari continued to zip through the spell, even passing unbothered through the illusionary trains and objects that were encroaching ever more steadily on Mizuiro's space. She was still enjoying herself. It was all very fast... when the regular-speed lasers came up, she might end up just continuing to zip forward while sharply angling up or down to avoid them. But being surrounded by her own gaps did cheer her up ever so much, it was almost like they were fighting in her own alternate world.

Well, she could move quite sharply when she wanted to. She also seemed to be enjoying herself terribly much; Mizuiro supposed that was a good thing.
What wasn't a good thing was his limited movespace. Perhaps he should have chosen a different spell, but Mythril Clock was too fun to pass up. He suspected he'd be alright for a little longer, though. It was terribly tempting to tear through the metal with wing and claw; but it was almost certainly illusionary.
She certainly seemed to enjoy interesting spells. Mizuiro vaguely wondered if she had any new tricks as he continued to fire the stream of bullets at her, as she swung back and forth to create the necessary gap in the firing line, and swinging back through said gap at a high enough speed to create another... And doing it again. It was like swinging on a vine, almost. Hmm, that may be a good idea for later...

At this point, there were so many train lasers closing in around Mizuiro that if Yukari hadn't been able to see through her own illusions, he would have been invisible to her. He wanted a spellcard that got progressively harder from her? He had one.
At this point, Yukari was flying around at haphazard angles pretty sharply, which was dangerous but ever so fun. Even if his spellcard was a bit mismatched against hers, it was very interesting to dodge. She quite liked it.

Mizuiro sighed. he'd been hoping to keep the spell up for a while and maybe have a chance of victory. Still, depending on how she handled his final cards, that may still be within reach. he could perhaps barely dodge out of the way for a little longer...
With his free hand, he slipped a piece of iron out of his pocket and popped it into his mouth with an audible metal-on-metal scrape, crack, and snap. He wanted to concentrate, and for whatever reason it worked for him better after a quick snack. He doubted he'd last much longer, but that was alright with him at this point. The youkai had acknowledged his ability, and he wasn't even done yet.

Just when Mizuiro had been hit, Yukari had gotten careless and not angled up quite quickly enough... and run right into a laser that had been about to vanish. She shook herself off, and prepared another non-spell. The backdrop of gaps that had surrounded the field remained, though. They had entered Yukari's world, and they weren't about to leave.
Once again, she brought out the dagger bullets. Rather than a complex spirograph, this time they flew out in spirals that were in the same direction- several, at least three, rotating around her at different speeds and overlapping unevenly. Most of them were a vivid blue, but one spiral, the fastest and densest, was white.

Blasted metal worm thing.
...He really needed to figure out what those were. Oh, had she been hit? Hah, nice. At least he didn't have to deal with the... Wait, why weren't they eye things disappearing? Oh, hell... Fine.
Right, so she was bringing out all of the spirals in the world. What fun. Hmm, he'd never used spirals in the forge. Maybe he should try it with a chakram, it could be interesting.
Anyway, last nonspell. And a killer it was.
Nonspell: Metal Tempering
Long lasers are fired at random angles in the foe's general direction. many spinning rain-shaped bullets split out in angled lines from the tail end of the lasers, all the way down. As the spell goes on, the lasers are fired more often, and during the last bits Mizuiro shoots small clusters of fireball at the target. The nonspell is easy to dodge at first due to the extremely slow movement of the rain bullets, but as it goes on the nonspell becomes very claustrophobic. Mizuiro has free movement during the spell, but the lasers always shoot from somewhere behind him. During this nonspell, a radiant aura of heat shines around Mizuiro, though it has no actual effect.
Mizuiro liked this spell. It was relaxing, like Fatal Flow. And the aura signified that his next spell was one of his masterpieces, as any might guess. Plus it was so warm... Anyway, there seemed to be no real specific way to deal with her nonspell; he'd just have to graze it as carefully as possible.
